On Saturday I met up with 8 other photographers here in Munich to play with our flashes and practice some lighting setups. It was a LOOONG day but I had so much fun! It was great seeing everyone again and meeting the new guys too. I’m already looking forward to our next meet-up!

Anyway…we hired a few models and a make-up artist, and they were all wonderful. Very patient, and professional! It was nice to do something different than what I usually do. I do mostly natural light photography, and although I secretly hate working with lights and don’t have much experience with them, I’ve managed to fool a few people into thinking I actually know what I am doing lol! Going into the meet-up I had a few looks in mind that I wanted to try an get, and I thought it would be fun to really go crazy with the lights and use a lot of colors and get an almost party/concert look. I also wanted to get some sexy couple shots, and for that I was going for a kind of classy, and/or perfume ad look. I’m really happy with the shots I got, and it was fun to play and experiment and not worry about shadows, funky reflections, etc.

So…thanks a lot to Susi, our make-up artist. You did an excellent job once again! And thanks to Benny, Ernany, Jaana, Alex and Renate for modeling for us…hope you guys had some fun too! Enjoy your sneak peaks!
