Diddlyi

October 31, 2008

A few days ago I had an awesome session with the Diddlyi team! It was a bit different then what I usually do in that it was more of a commercial shoot than a portrait session, but I had so much fun and got a taste of some great Irish dancing…all I have to say is WOW!! I wish I had more time to just sit and watch, but being that it was one of my most challenging sessions yet (lights, mirrors, and Shane flying through the air make for some tricky times!) my face was glued to the back of the camera! Anyway, here are a few images from their session. Enjoy!

Shane McAvinchey: Wow Kristin! These look absolutely brilliant! Thanks so much again for the great shoot and I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of the pics! Cheers! Shane

Attention Mommies to be…

October 20, 2008

One of the areas of portraiture I am missing in my portfolio is Maternity, so I am looking for 2 mommies to be, who would be interested in a FREE photo session! It would be a regular session, lasting about 2 hrs, and can be held on-location or in your home (or a combination of both!).  The only requirements are that you are in your 28th-34th week at the time of the session and that you sign a model release that will allow me to use your photos in my portfolio, and for advertising purposes. I will also require a 25€ retainer fee (to reserve your date), which will be credited towards prints or any other products I offer. Prints from the session will be available for the current sale prices (25% off listed prices). This is first come, first serve, so act fast!

The Holidays are Coming!

October 13, 2008

Summer is now long gone, and before you know it, we’ll have our first snowfall of the season, Glühwein will start popping up all over the place and town will be bustling with Christmas Markets. What that also means is that now is the time to book your photo sessions! Can’t think of a gift for mom and dad? Want to send Grandma and Grandpa something special? How about a wonderful canvas of the family?!? Or a mini brag album for them to show off to their friends? Regular prints come in pretty quicky, but if you want anything custom made for the holidays, like albums, canvases, storyboards, greeting cards, etc. you need to allow some extra time. And now is the time to take advantage of those awesome fall colors before trees become bare and the sky turns gloomy!

In the Works…

October 4, 2008

I am so excited about this… I am planning a Boudoir Marathon shoot! Still working out the details, but what it will be is basically a series of ‘mini’ sessions lasting about 1- 1.5hrs each. Buuut the cool part is that it will be in an awesome hotel (still working on that!) and I will be providing a make-up artist, and some ‘liquid courage’ (aka champagne, wine etc)! I’m aiming for the 1st half of November so images are ready for the holidays, and there will be 5-6 spaces available. I should have more info in a few days, so stay tuned!!

UPDATE: The general consensus is that November and December are busy months, and sometime in the new year would be better…so this is on hold for now! Anyone still interested in a Boudoir session before then contact me through my website, or send an email to kristin@kristinspeedphotography.com to book a regular session!

Amy - True Photography: Thank you for the link on your blogroll! My photographer friend and I are doing this onthe weekend of Feb 7th for Valentine's Day! I cannot wait - it's going to be a fun time with just the girls.
